After growing up in Pittsburgh, PA, Dr. Vida completed his undergraduate studies in Biology at Duquesne University before attending the Indiana University School of Optometry where he graduated with a Doctor of Optometry degree in 2010. While in optometry school, Dr. Vida served as associate instructor in many courses including Clinical Optometry.
He completed his clinical training at the Indiana University School of Optometry Cornea/Contact Lens Clinic in Bloomington, Indiana and at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Huntington, WV and Baltimore, MD where he gained extensive experience in detection and treatment of ocular disease.
Dr. Vida takes special interest in the pre/post operative management of surgical patients, with special emphasis on cataract, LASIK, PRK, Implantable Contact Lens, and Intacs for keratoconus patients. He assists with topography consultations for other laser centers around the country and is currently working on a mathematical eye model for keratoconus eyes.
