Get Enrolled in FDA clinical trials for presbyopia treatment
Wang Vision Cataract and LASIK Center, Nashville, Tennessee
Wang Vision Institute is one of only three leading centers in US to conduct a US FDA clinical trial on a new investigational eye surgery, scleral spacing procedure (SSP), to correct age-related loss of near vision (presbyopia). SSP is an out-patient procedure in which a surgeon creates a new space near the ciliary muscle, to allow a more efficient contraction of the lens and muscles, to achieve better reading. We performed the first procedure in the southern United States.
To register for the study, one needs to attend a SSP seminar
on Tues, 9/21/10 at 6:30pm.
To RSVP for the SSP seminar, please contact Dr. Ara Sudtelgte at Ara@wangvisioninstitute.com, or call 615-321-8878.
During the clinical trial, this SSP surgery (valued at $10,000) is FREE to the patients.
The criteria for patients of this US FDA-regulated study are:
- between the ages of 50-60 years old
