Q: I have heard that cell phones and computers, over used, can damage my eyes, is that true, and if it is, what should I do?

A: Correct. Studies have indeed shown and sustained close-up work (cell phone, computer) does affect the eyes (see here<http://www.wangcataractlasik.com/cms/video-library/other-videos/video/1187.html>).

What you should do, is to adopt Dr. Ming Wang (Harvard & MIT (MD); PhD (laser physics))’s 20-20-20 rule (20 minutes of close-up work, take a break for 20 seconds and look at an object at least 20 feet away). Also, if you have prescriptions (i.e., you need glasses or contacts to see), get your eyes fixed.
